McCall Wedding for Alana and Nate

A breathtaking bride and her handsome groom were married on the afternoon of September 7th at a beach front wedding at the home of the bride's parents in McCall, Idaho.  The Altar was a large tree stump the three of us stood on, beautifully decorated and on the water's edge.  Alana and Nate incorporated the "Seven Spices of Life" ceremony.  Each family member poured layers of spices and herbs which represented a symbolic meaning for each spice.

First Layer - Alana, the Bride.  Salt - The Foundation
Second Layer - Marco, Bride's Father.  Rosemary - Long Life-Prosperity
Third Layer - Ellen, Bride's Mother.  Basil - Good Fortune, Wealth, Happiness
Fourth Layer - Alyssa, Bride's Sister.  Curry - To Protect Family
Fifth Layer - Megan, Groom's Sister.  Poppy Seed - The Fulfill Dreams
Sixth Layer - Barbara, Groom's Mother.  Paprika - Passion
Seventh Layer - Lauren, Groom's Sister.  Thyme - Strength and Courage
Eight Layer - Cam, Groom's Father.  Oregano - The Joy in Life
Final Layer -  Nate, the Groom.  Final Layer of Salt to signifying Unity.

The music was provided by Trish Williams, a friend of the bride, and was incredible.  Trish set the mood for a festive party.  The food, flowers, desserts, photographs and the beautiful sun peaking through the pines took my breath away.  The love between the family members celebrating the marriage of Alana and Nate was in every detail, and I was truly honored to be a part of this family's celebration.  A special shout-out to Marco and Ellen, and Cam and Barbara!

Carma and Glenn Wallace

I've known Carma and Glenn for many years, and was so excited when I heard about their engagement, and even more excited when I received the call asking me to officiate their wedding ceremony!

Their wedding was at the Center in the Park in Meridian, with the pond and water feature as the backdrop.  They were surrounded by the children, their families and many friends.  It was a sunny (and hot) July day as Carma and Glenn pledged their love, and special vows, to one another.

River Wedding for Amanda and Josh

I was at a loss for words when I arrived at Fox Canyon Vineyards in Marsing and saw the spectacular view for the wedding of Amanda Dennis and Josh Bowen It was a hot day (temps reached 105') in June but Amanda and Josh and their entire family and wedding party came together to share in the love story of two incredible people.

The sweetest moment of the ceremony, well, there were a few, but from my view at the Altar, the tears streaming down Amanda's cheeks as her mom and brother walked her down the aisle, brought a tear to my eyes.  They are a very close family, and Josh was proudly waiting for his beautiful bride and we started the ceremony to seal their vows.  Tears of joy and love and happiness.

Signed, Sealed and Delivered!

Love Birds - Erin and Brendan

"Love Birds" perfectly describes Erin and Brendan, and their beautiful wedding ceremony at the Linen Building in downtown Boise.   Erin was stunning in her beaded wedding gown, the maids so gorgeous in their robin egg blue dresses and the men looked fine in their gray suits and blue ties.   Blessings to Erin and Brendan as they start their new life together.

Marriage Vows Renewal for Sally and Todd

Sally called me, asking if I could perform their marriage vows renewal ceremony for her and her beloved Todd - and oh yes, it's a SURPRISE for her husband Todd!   Sally wanted to surprise Todd on their 10 year wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows in beautiful Kathryn Albertson Park where they had their beautiful family pictures previously.

Sally and Todd had so much love in their eyes, and in their hearts, and renewed their vows as if they were getting married all over again.  They've been through life's challenges as most couples have been, and wanted to recommit themselves to each other after being through the thick and thin of life's challenges.  It was a special day for both of them, and an honor for me to write their vows for them.

Congratulations Todd and Sally, and here's to many more anniversary celebrations!
